Dr. Shivani Bhardwaj

Postdoctoral Fellow

Shivani Bhardwaj joined the NEO Lab in September 2019 as a Postdoctoral Fellow. She obtained her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degree in Physics from CCS University Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, India in 2005 and 2007 respectively. She worked as a lecturer of Physics in University College from 2007 to 2011. In 2013, she completed her M. Tech. in Applied Optics from Physics Department, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. During masters, she developed “Surface Plasmon based Fiber Optic Sensor for Ammonia Gas sensing” as her major project. She received her Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India in November 2018. During Ph.D., her major area of research was focused on the light-matter interaction at nanoscale to enhance the overall efficiency of the photovoltaics by utilizing Graphene and various shapes of the Nano-Particles. She also received the Early Doctoral Fellowship to continue her work as senior researcher at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi from November 2018 to July 2019. In May 2019 she received Pikovsky Valazzi Post-doctoral scholarship 2019 from Tel Aviv University, Israel. At the NEO Lab, Shivani is working on computational modelling, fabrication and characterization of multilayered metasurface systems for various applications.
